Now that you know a little bit more about WordPress, we can dive into the world of design and understand how WordPress manages designs with Themes.
Overview Of WordPress Themes
Where To Find The Best Themes
Finding themes is a pretty straight forward process. If you are looking for free themes, you can browse the WordPress theme repository. I have a video in the next section covering this.
For premium themes, you have a couple great options:
WooThemes is one of the oldest and certainly the best WordPress theme development companies out there. They have some great looking and extremely user-friendly themes available for all kinds of different websites or blogs.
Their themes are usually about $90 – $100 per theme, however, if you follow this guide when setting up your blog we will give you a theme of your choice absolutely free! All you need to do is let us know which one you want to try out and we’ll install it on your blog for you.
Theme Forest is a theme marketplace where multiple developers submit their themes and put them up for sale. The typical cost for a theme on Theme Forest is about $40 but can vary as low as $20 and as high as $75 for a good theme.
I’ll take you through browsing for a premium theme in the next section of the guide.
Next Stage Of The Guide
If you haven’t set up your blog yet, I would strongly urge you to go back and do that now. It’s really hard to design your new blog when you don’t even have it setup yet. If you have your blog setup already, we can move on to the next section of the guide.
